VIJAY REFUSES TO COMMENT ON JGM
Vijay Deverakonda attended SIIMA 2022 on Saturday, September 10, much to the delight of fans. IndiaToday. In asked him to comment on the status of his upcoming movies. He, however, refused to do so. The actor, instead, spoke about the event and added that he hoped to enjoy it.
VIJAY DEVERAKONDA’S JOURNEY AND THE LIGER DEBACLE
Vijay Deverakonda emerged as a household name with his intense performance in Arjun Reddy, directed by Sandeep Vanga. The film proved to be a blockbuster and became the talk of the town with its bold content. He followed it up with the commercially successful Geetha Govindam. The star, however, suffered a big blow when films such as NOTA and Dear Comrade underperformed at the box office.
Fans had high hopes from Liger but it too tanked at the box office. The sports drama featured Vijay Deverakonda in the role of a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. The Telugu-Hindi bilingual starred Bollywood actress Ananya Panday as the female lead and marked her Tollywood debut. Liger also featured Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Mike Tyson and Makrand Deshpande, among others, in key roles.
Vijay will next be seen in Khushi, co-starring Samantha. He also has a film with Sukumar in his kitty. It will, however, go on floors only after the filmmaker wraps up the Allu Arjun-led Pushpa 2.
